As Wine Director at Moderne Barn, Edgar Balagot brings a passion for oenology, eagerly sharing wine stories with guests. He highlights the contrast between Old World and modern winemaking, helping guests understand the nuances of each varietal and producer. Starting as a captain in 2010, Edgar’s fine dining expertise began at NYC’s Sea Grill and continued as General Manager at The Garrison. Now a Bronx resident, he enjoys terroir-driven wines, balancing his dedication with hobbies like snowboarding and camping, nurturing his love for nature.
